Hello all,

Christmas vacation brings me to Denver this year. Luckily, I got in right before the snowfall! We got close to a foot of snow Wednesday night. It was so nice to see snow before the new year!

2012 will bring many changes. Graduating from the University of Illinois in May is going to be a proud moment. Who knows what will come in 2012. Many things are still up in the air. But, I look forward to overcoming the hurdles as they come.

Memorial Day in Florida

Hello all,

I hope this post finds you in good health.

Finally, finals are finished. The two weeks went without a stitch. After a few long nights, lots of studying, and many a coffee drank, I am through. Where does one go when he is done with finals? Florida of course.

It has been a nice stay here without much rain. However, June is the rainy season. I am still looking forward to seeing the awe inspiring thunderstorms that can happen down here. That is, as long as I am inside looking out. The beach has been very hot and full of families. It seems to be more packed this year than how I remember from year’s past. This could be due to a number of factors. The combination of memorial day with local school’s getting out could be the most dominant of these factors. I have not spent too much time on the beach as I am primarily down here to visit family. It has been a relaxing past week and a half. I think that I am making  up for all those long nights around the 401 coffee table.

I look forward to seeing my brother Aaron and his family. I have not met my nieces yet and am really excited to do so. I believe I will be heading back up to North Carolina on Monday and returning to Illinois soon after.

A bit of reading for the mind was suggested to me by Daniel Wolff. It is a very interesting read and am halfway done myself. It covers a braod range of topics that one must be familiar with in order to make an informed decision. I highly suggest the reading.

I took pictures at the end of the day on Memorial Day which will be uploaded to the gallery section shortly. It was taken at the end of the day and pictures the sand castles before they are swept away by the ocean. There are many metaphors I could make with this, but that is for the artists to decide.

Hello all,

It has been a few months since my last post and much has gone on since then. I am a bit tanner now after coming back from my latest excursion to the Caribbean. The photo above is a picture taken at one of the two forts guarding the port. The whole week was amazing. Thank you grandma and grandpa! It was nice talking to my cousin, Laurel, too. She is a freshman in high school now, so it is nice being able to talk to her about world issues. Haha I am so old.

Speaking of old, I am 20 now! Thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday. The day was pretty uneventful and I found myself in bed by 9 PM (that was for mom). The night’s festivities were shared with Reid, a brother in my house, whose birthday was also on the 12th. The night was a blast and everyone had a jolly good time.

Looking into the future, I have a couple more weeks of school before finals commence. After that, I will be enjoying a fine time down in Florida with Dad. Cannot wait. Is it a bit suspicious that I skipped over finals so quick? haha. I am ready for this semester to be over. I cannot believe that college is almost halfway done! aah. haha.

Refounder's Day Celebration - Feb. 2010

Dear all,

It has been a very stressful and rewarding week! Refounder’s Day Celebration went without error. I was very happy to welcome 9 Pi Kapp Alumni to the luncheon. The sign pictured in the front of the chapter was returned to us not 3 weeks before the date. It was originally in front of our old house here on campus.

Classes are going well. I am very pleased with my first two exam grades that I have received. I still have an exams in both fluids and dynamics on Wednesday. Fluids class is probably my favorite class this semester. Learning about fluid flows and pumps is one of the coolest things ever.

The thing that is getting me through this the first wave of midterms is that cruise in the Caribbean over spring break (thank you grandparents!)

Hello everyone,

As you can tell from the title of the post. I am a very sick camper. I think I am worrying a bit too much about this weekend with the Refounder’s Day celebration. I plan on getting as much rest this weekend as I can. Too bad I have an exam next Friday for which I need to study.

In other news, my brother, James, is graduating from the Police Academy today. He has had his eye on the law enforcement track for quite a while and I am happy for him that he’s finally an officer. Also, he got his first pick on which precinct he at which he is working. Good thing too, his precinct’s is probably the less crime stricken out of the precincts (not that Charlotte has a terrible crime problem or anything).

Well lecture is starting for my solid mechanics class, so gotta go!
